About Captain Dan & Classic Boat Rides

Captain Dan has enjoyed boating since he was 4 years old and got his first ride on the family’s plywood speedboat on the Raritan Bay.

Lazy summer weekends at Lake Hopatcong with Aunt Myrtle and Uncle Chester fueled his passion for boating even more. His paper route money netted him his very first boat at the age of 10 or so, an 8 ft wooden pram with a 5hp Buccaneer outboard.

The fleet has varied greatly in size over the years; 14ft. wood skiff, 16ft Glasspar, 40ft Pacemaker, 18ft Cruisers Inc. 37 Egg, 1958 18’ Chris Craft. MUM RUNNER – A Beautiful 28’ “Olsen” Skiff. She was built in Keyport N.J. by John Olsen. 24′ Hubert Johnson Black Jack

The Pride of our Fleet, our 54′ Chesapeake Bay Dead Rise boat, the MARINER; For groups up to 40 passengers. Take a cruise with Classic Boat Rides, CBR, and you’ll create some very special memories.  Classic Boat Rides (CBR), is also proud to offer our paddlewheel boat the Navesink Queen.  She can carry over 100 passengers. We are also now offering charters on our new 22′ –  “Electric Boat” WATTS UP and 24′ Hubert Johnson Black Jack built in Bay Head New Jersey.  The “Lady Jill” Both offer from Red Bank at the Molly Pitcher INN.

Please welcome the newest addition to the Classic Boat Rides fleet! WATTS UP – A classic styled 22′ Duffy Sun Cruiser. She is powered by an electric motor offering a quite relaxing ride with plenty of room for guests in the shade or sun. She is based at the Molly Pitcher INN in Red Bank NJ.
